Gotta Love Some Racin'
I have always loved cars and I find that racing is the ultimate way to determine which car is indeed the best because cars are designed with performance in mind. Yes, we can focus on gas mileage and such, but the truth is that people want a car that can go faster than every other car on the road.

Top 5 Mistakes Made When Purchasing a Used Car
Many people make mistakes when purchasing a used car and those are mistakes that can be easily avoided as long as you take the time to think things through. Making a mistake while purchasing a car could be disastrous and result in losing tons of money on a poor investment that will not pay off. The top five mistakes made are:
1. Not getting a detailed account of the vehicle's history: It is important that you know everything about the car's past before you purchase it.
2. Not asking questions about the vehicle warranty: You need to understand its warranty or else you may have to bite the bullet in the future.
3. Not being informed about what's been done with the car since it arrived at the dealer: You will want to know what issues have been corrected by the dealer so that you understand what could become a problem down the road.
4. Not taking an adequate test drive: A 15 minute drive is no where near long enough of a drive to know about a car. Ask about taking the car overnight so that you may really know about the car and how it drives.
5. Waiting until you're at the dealership to think about financing: You will want to know how you are going to pay for a car before you try and buy one.

Fixing a Used Car
Owning a used car can be a great thing, but anyone that owns one will eventually have to get something repaired and for that reason I am writing this post. There are two primary ways that you can go about getting your car fixed. The first involves going to a mechanic and the second involves you fixing the car yourself.
If you have absolutely no knowledge about fixing cars then you should definitely take the car to a professional mechanic. The mechanic may be expensive, but they will know what they are doing and they will also know how to fix whatever is wrong with the car in the first place. You will want to make sure that you are going to an accredited mechanic because the last thing you want is to be scammed into paying too much for a service that will not work at all. If you have family that knows anything about cars, have them accompany you. They can at least make sure that the mechanic is telling the truth to you.
If you do happen to have some sort of mechanical knowledge then I recommend you repair your used car yourself because it is cheaper and you will know everything that you do. There is a chance that you will not know how to fix whatever is wrong with the car and if that is the case then I recommend you go ahead and seek out a mechanic.
It is very important that you get any problem with your used car fix as soon as something comes up because there is no knowing when that problem will expand into a much bigger problem.

Why am I writing this?
I have many reasons for writing this blog but first and foremost I aim to educate you readers of this blog about the change that is occurring in the competition between new and used car sales. With an economic that is suffering it is only natural for people to become more sensitive to the price of things and for that reason used car sales are going up and up. In this blog though, I do not want to make anyone feel that their feedback is not desired even if they support the purchasing of new cars. I love new cars, who doesn't? The thing is that used cars are becoming more affordable.
If I ever write anything that you all disagree with then please let me know. Debate me on topics and don't just agree to agree with the author, I want my ideas challenged and I want to learn something new everyday. So don't just read what I write as fact but as opinion because that's what it is: my opinion. So please, enjoy this blog as it is meant to be enjoyed.

The Benefits of a Used Car
Used cars can provide many benefits to their owners that a brand new car couldn't and for that reason many people are looking towards buying these used cars instead of new cars. The benefits are as follows:
1. They are cheaper: These cars require no big down payment and also require no big monthly payments. Typically they are a few thousand dollars.
2. Less stress: Owners of used cars will stress less about the well being of their car because it cost them less and also most likely already has some sort of damage.
3. Used cars are often a good investment: They usually receive good gas mileage and also cost very little compared to what you get due to the health of the economy. This makes these cars very good investments and especially for beginning drivers.
Those are just a few of the many benefits that a used car can have for the owners and every person receives different benefits that are more personalized and specific to their own situation. Just don't forget that owning a used car is no longer a symbol of poverty.
